Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical First Assistant program with eligibility to earn certification within 120 days from graduation.
• 1 year of recent operating room experience, including direct patient contact and sterile technique.
• Preferred 2+ years of recent operating room experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the operating surgeon in the care of patients in surgery by performing selected duties.
• Provide direct and indirect technical care to surgical/obstetrical patients.
• Facilitate safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.
• Complete established competencies for the position within the introductory period.
