Job summary

Westover Hills Baptist Hospital is seeking a Surgical First Assistant to support the operating surgeon in the care of patients during surgery. You will provide direct and indirect technical care, ensuring sterile technique and safety throughout invasive procedures.

Eligible candidates must graduate from a Surgical First Assistant program and hold certification through NBSTSA, ABSA, or NSAA, with at least 1 year of OR experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: graduate of a Surgical First Assistant program.
• Experience: 1 year in operating room with direct patient contact and sterile technique.
• Preferred experience: 2+ years in the OR.
• Certifications: must be Certified Surgical Technologist; NBSTSA/ABSA/NSAA first assistant certs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the operating surgeon in the care of surgical patients.
