Job summary

A regional healthcare institution is seeking a Surgical First Assistant to support surgeons in the perioperative care of patients at Berkeley Medical Center. The role requires a CAAHEP accredited Surgical Assistant graduate with certification from NBSTSA and BLS certification. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience as Surgical Technicians. The position is full-time, working 12-hour shifts on weekends, in a hospital clinical setting.

Qualifications

• 3 years as a Surgical Technician.
• 5 years as a Surgical Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon in perioperative care of patients.
• Maintain integrity of sterile field.
• Perform duties of a Certified Surgical Technician II.
