The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to develop, organize, and conduct education and counseling programs focused on drug and alcohol abuse reduction.

The role involves group and individual sessions, applying evidence-based practices, and coordinating with case managers and other staff. The position requires ADP-certified counseling credentials, at least one year of CBT experience with offenders, and strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with ADP-recognized certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year CBT experience with offender population.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and conducts substance abuse program activities.
• Facilitates group and individual counseling sessions.
• Maintains accurate records in the company database.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with outside referral sources.
• Collects program participation fees and tracks collections.
