Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or GED required; CBSPD/IAHCSMM certification is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities are essential.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with instrument tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and endoscopes.
• Prepare and package instrumentation for procedures; maintain records.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment; perform quality testing.
• Assist with inventory, shipping/receiving, and transporting supplies.
• Provide customer service to operating rooms and external customers.
• Uphold AAMI and AORN standards; promote safety and efficiency.
• Educate and train peers; support teamwork and quality improvement.
• Follow safety protocols and documentation for sterility indicators.
