Job summary

OhioHealth in the United States is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician-Non-Certified to support the decontamination, cleaning and sterilization of general and specialty surgical instruments, power equipment and endoscopes. You will prepare and packaging instrumentation, monitor sterilization processes and maintain records for surgical cases and instrument tracking.

You will work with operating rooms and external customers, follow AAMI and AORN guidelines, and assist in training peers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, high school diploma or GED required.
• Strong customer service, communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with instrument tracking systems and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, disinfect and clean reusable surgical instruments.
• Prepare and package instrumentation; monitor sterilization equipment.
• Maintain records; assist in case preparation and instrument retrieval.
• Follow infection control guidelines and handle external customers/vendors.
