Job summary

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team and support surgical services with safe, sterile instruments and supplies. You will inspect, assemble, sterilize, and inventory instruments, coordinate with OR staff, and help ensure readiness for daily schedules while adhering to strict infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CSPDT or CRCST certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays to ensure sterility and readiness.
• Manage sterilization equipment and maintain accurate records for patient safety and infection control.
• Prepare customized surgical sets and case carts based on daily schedules and procedure needs.
• Manage inventory and supplies in OR storage and coordinate with the surgical team to support operations.
• Respond to instrument requests during surgeries and assist with urgent equipment needs.

Education

High School Graduate / GED

CSPDT Certification (Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician)

CRCST Certification (Certified Registered Central Service Technician)
