Delray Medical Center Hospital in Florida is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to handle cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization for surgery gear and supplies. You will prepare packs, linens, and instruments in Sterile Processing with precision and calm under pressure.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and completion of a sterile processing course or surgical technician program.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent and completion of a sterile processing course or surgical technician program
• Minimum: None
• Preferred: At least one year previous experience in central sterilization operations.
• If not certified at time of hire into position, certification must be obtained within first year of employment

Responsibilities

• Responsible for processing incoming supplies and equipment.
• Performs cleaning, decontamination and sterilizing duties, prepares packs of supplies, prepares supplies for all surgery cases, linens, and instruments in Sterile Processing as directed.
• Must be extremely conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with all departments.
