Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring ski instructors for the 2026/27 season in New York, NY. Instructors will teach skiing to guests of all ages, providing exceptional service and a safe environment. • Experience with teaching kids aged 3 and older is essential.

Job Specifications

• Starting Wage: $21.00/hr – $64.34/hr (minimum base wages; incentives may be earned)
• Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027
• Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available; full‑time instructors may have variable weekly hours
• Minimum Age: 16 years or older
• Housing Availability: Yes

Job Responsibilities

• Teach group and private lessons to guests of all ages and abilities
• Deliver world‑class guest service to all guests
• Create a safe and fun learning environment
• Support all ski school needs, including scanning, running surface lifts, facilitating lunch, and fitting equipment
• Provide guest feedback that inspires lifelong learning
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Minimum PSIA/AASI Instructor Level 1 certification or ISIA equivalent and above
• Fluent communication in English
• Comfortable working with guests of all ages and children 3 and older
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays and meet minimum scheduling requirements
• Placement contingent upon successful completion of training and meeting safety and guest service standards
