Job summary

Vail Resorts is looking for Certified Ski or Snowboard Instructors for the winter season of 2026/2027 in Fairfield, California. Instructors are responsible for teaching group and private lessons, delivering exceptional guest service, and ensuring a safe environment for learners. Qualifications

Job Summary

Experience the best office in the world teaching skiing and snowboarding to guests of all ages. Certified Ski or Snowboard Instructors will deliver quality instruction to groups and individuals, providing world‑class guest service in a safe and fun environment. Full and part‑time positions available.

Job Specifications

• Starting Wage: $21.00/hr - $64.34/hr (pay range reflects minimum base wages; instructors may earn more with additional teaching incentives)
• Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027
• Shift Type: Part‑time hours available. For full‑time instructors, a 40‑hour work week is not guaranteed; scheduled hours will vary depending on business volume.
• Minimum Age: 16 years
• Housing Availability: Yes

Job Responsibilities

• Teach group and private lessons to guests of all ages and abilities.
• Deliver world‑class guest service to all guests.
• Create a safe and fun learning environment.
• Support all ski school needs, including scanning, running surface lifts, facilitating lunch, and fitting equipment.
• Provide guest feedback that inspires and creates lifelong skiers and riders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum PSIA/AASI instructor Level 1 certification or ISIA equivalent and above.
• Fluent communication in English.
• Comfortable working with guests of all ages, including children aged 3 and older.
• Willing to work weekends/holidays and meet minimum scheduling requirements.
• Placement as an instructor is contingent upon successfully completing training and meeting the minimum skill, guest service, and safety standards.
