Job summary

HES Facilities Management is seeking a licensed plumber to join the Flint, MI facilities maintenance team. The role involves performing plumbing repairs and installations, ensuring clean water systems, and assisting with minor electrical and carpentry tasks.

Candidates must hold a Plumbers License and be prepared to work on-site in educational facilities, with responsibilities including DRB inspections and coordination with managers for safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Receives and completes work orders for routine or emergency tasks.
• Records start/finish times and comments via phone per policy.
• Performs plumbing repairs/installations on sinks, commodes, valves, water coolers; replaces damaged water lines.
• Measures, cuts, threads, and prepares piping for replacement or new installations.
• Performs minor electrical and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Performs DRB inspections and reports findings.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace electrical outlets and lighting fixtures or tubes.
• Repair/replace switches as needed.
• Perform drywall repairs and door hardware adjustments.
• Maintain buildings in good operating condition.
• Replace stained ceiling tiles after leaks repairs.
• Oversee external vendors when necessary.
• Obtain materials from warehouse as needed for tasks.
• Notify supervisor of emergencies or needed supplies.
