Qualifications

  • Possession and maintenance of an authorized journeyman's license as a plumber.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to transport, use and maintain a full range of plumbing tools and equipment.
  • Ability to access plumbing equipment located at various heights and in confined areas.
  • Some experience as a maintenance plumber.

Responsibilities

  • Construct and maintain pipes and equipment for water and sewage services.
  • Repair or replace damaged water, gas, and drainage pipes.
  • Install pipelines, valves, and fixtures for water, sewage, and gases.
  • Maintain all physical plant water, sewer, and drainage systems.
  • Perform inspections and assessments on plumbing systems.

Skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Ability to transport, use and maintain heavy tools
Ability to access plumbing equipment located at varying heights
Ability to work in a variety of positions and at any angle
Possession of a valid Michigan vehicle operator's license
Ability to work in hazardous working conditions
