Minimum Qualifications

1. Licensed by the applicable state where services will be performed, or temporary license, if permitted by state regulations.
2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.

Experience

Two (2) years of respiratory therapy experience in a hospital setting.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

The general responsibilities include performing therapeutic procedures, equipment maintenance, mechanical ventilation, effective communication, patient and family education, quality assurance, diagnostic procedures, and maintaining professional competency. Other duties may be assigned.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds.

Working Environment

Maintain awareness of environmental factors and infection control to ensure a safe environment for patient care.
