Job summary

Pinnacle Treatment Centers is seeking a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) to provide peer support services, act as a patient advocate, and supply patient information in emergency, outpatient, or inpatient settings. You will perform a wide range of tasks to assist patients in regaining control over their lives and recovery process.

You will assist patients in articulating personal goals for recovery, identifying barriers, and reinforcing recovery skills, with travel up to 50% and a commitment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maintains Certified Recovery Specialty credential via PA Certification Board.
• Self-identify as a current or former patient.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and insurability; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in articulating personal goals for recovery.
• Assist patients in determining steps toward recovery.
• Identify barriers to recovery goals and plan appropriate support.
• Support patients in developing daily living and recovery skills.
• Observe and reinforce progress toward recovery goals.
• Teach problem-solving and coping strategies.
• Encourage positive self-talk and address fears.
• Support vocational goals and address job-related anxieties.
• Build social skills and maintain professional boundaries.
• Attend team meetings and maintain patient confidentiality.
