Job summary

Chartiers Center is seeking a Certified Recovery Specialist to support adults in recovery within community settings and client homes in Pittsburgh. This full-time role offers weekday hours with some flexibility and opportunities to make a tangible difference in the lives of people facing homelessness.

You will collaborate with treatment teams, provide case management and housing referrals, and engage landlords to support client housing stability.

Qualifications

• Certified Recovery Specialist Certification is required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals experiencing homelessness to help them identify a place to live and to develop the skills and supports to prevent relapse to homelessness.
• Act as a liaison between landlords and clients.
• Provide ongoing case management and referrals to assist clients with becoming self-sufficient.
• Work independently in the community and in client homes while still being a part of a team.
• Work with treatment teams to assist with recovery.

Services include intake, referral, outpatient therapy, psychiatric assessment, service coordination, substance abuse treatment, training and social rehabilitative services, crisis intervention, partial hospitalization, community outreach, day, and recreational services for adults with intellectual disabilities, homeless outreach, and housing program.
