Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) to deliver comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care in a busy clinic.

You will assess patients, design and fit devices, work with physicians, and provide follow-up care to improve mobility and outcomes. Minimum qualifications include ABC/BOC certification or eligibility, a Prosthetics and Orthotics degree, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain licensure where required.

Qualifications

• Current ABC or BOC board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics, or board-eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics or foreign equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain licensure where required.
• May consider non-certified candidates with 5+ years of supervised experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate patient needs for prosthetic/orthotic services and recommend options.
• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
• Design prosthetic/orthotic devices based on assessments.
• Take casts, modify models, and select appropriate materials.
• Perform fittings and static/dynamic alignments; ensure proper fit and function.
• Provide follow-up care and documentation for patient records.
• Mentor residents or newly certified clinicians when applicable.
• May be asked to cover on-call, hospital, or multiple clinic locations.
