Job summary

Fortis Native Group is seeking a full-time Swimming Pool Operator to ensure proper operations of the pools on our NAVALBASE SAN DIEGO contract. The role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and pool systems, and keeping accurate logs.

Responsibilities include daily maintenance, water chemistry testing, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The position requires attentiveness to detail and the ability to work with power and hand tools.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of Aquatic Management and Pool Operations experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Pool Operator Certification required.
  • Knowledge of pool water chemistry and saltwater chlorinator systems.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to handle power/hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect structures for obstructions and prevent plumbing weaknesses.
  • Install and repair plumbing pipes, fittings, and fixtures per codes.
  • Locate pipe positions and drill holes as required.
  • Cut, bend, and thread pipes using proper equipment.
  • Maintain pool water chemistry and test daily logs.
  • Clean and repair pool equipment and monitor safety standards.
