Job summary

Fortis Native Group is seeking a full-time Swimming Pool Operator to ensure safe, compliant operation of the pools on the NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO contract. The role includes maintaining water chemistry, testing systems, and routine maintenance to meet health codes.

Responsibilities include inspecting structures, installing and repairing plumbing and pool equipment, and documenting materials used. Candidates must have a Certified Pool Operator certification, a high school diploma, a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-year experience in Aquatic Management and Pool Operations, or a Facilities Background.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Pool Operator Certification, In compliance to Local Health Codes.
• Working knowledge of Pool Water Chemistry and saltwater chlorinator systems.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structures to determine obstructions and prevent weakening due to plumbing installations.
• Locate and mark positions for pipes, pipe connections, and passage holes.
• Cut openings in walls and floors using hand and power tools.
• Assemble and install valves, fittings, and pipes made of metals and nonmetals.
• Test systems using water or air pressure.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures including sinks, commodes, water heaters, and water softeners.
