Job summary

Grande Shores Resort seeks a Certified Pool Operator to operate, repair, maintain and clean pool equipment, ensuring safety and guideline compliance. The role covers water treatment, equipment monitoring, and coordination with contracted services for maintenance and repairs.

Ideal candidates hold a SC CPO certificate, are reliable, observant, and available for early mornings, weekends, and some holidays. Benefits include medical and other insurances, plus paid time off.

Qualifications

• SC CPO certificate required.
• Observant, proactive, reliable with good written and verbal communication.
• Available to work early mornings, weekends and some holidays.
• Must possess adequate color vision.

Responsibilities

• Regulates water temperature and levels; implements preventive maintenance for pool operation.
• Operates and maintains pool heater system.
• Sanitizes swim decks and acids, vacuums pool floors, and replaces underwater lights.
• Tests and maintains pool chemical levels; services safety equipment.
• Prepares bid specifications for contracted work and oversees bids.
• Oversees and inspects contracted work; maintains work requests and facility reports.
• Responds to front desk guest reports and informs when action is complete.
• Keeps storage and mechanical areas clean, reporting corrective actions to Chief Engineer.
• Performs daily walk-through inspections to meet code specifications.
