Job summary

CBRE Government and Defense Services is seeking a Pool Operator to service and maintain pools and spa areas in a demanding environment. The role entails regular equipment maintenance, chemical balancing, and strict safety protocols in handling hazardous materials.

The position requires proper pool certification or completion of a state-approved operator course, with emphasis on reliable record-keeping and timely responses to maintenance requests.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledgeable in grounds maintenance.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must have a Department of Health Pool Certification or Maryland State Accredited Certified Pool Operator Course

Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain filtering and purification equipment for pools.
  • Diagnose, repair and maintain swimming pools, water systems, filters, pumps and related equipment.
  • Maintain proper chemical balance in pool water.
  • Keep pool area clean and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to work orders promptly to assess and repair non-functioning equipment.
  • Repair and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Transport and store hazardous chemicals safely.
  • Regularly test water quality, chlorine and pH balance.
  • Maintain records and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
