Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital Inc is actively seeking a Phlebotomist to perform routine and STAT blood collection and specimen processing for all laboratory tests. The role includes ensuring specimen integrity, adhering to established procedures, and contributing to timely test results.

Responsibilities include equipment checks, preventive maintenance, and assisting with phlebotomy supplies. A CA Phlebotomy Certification and current BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Basic phlebotomy skills with certificate.
• Verbal and written communication skills to support the efficient and effective transfer of data/information.
• Current BLS (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedures to perform routine and STAT blood collection and specimen processing for all laboratory testing.
• Performs preventive maintenance, humidity, and temperature checks of refrigerators, freezers, heat blocks and other equipment as assigned.
• Performs routine maintenance of centrifuges, hoods, and other laboratory equipment.
• Assists in maintaining phlebotomy and blood collection supplies and other inventory
