Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital (TVH) is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform routine and STAT blood collection and specimen processing for all laboratory testing. Follow established procedures to ensure accuracy and safety in a high‑stakes clinical setting.

The role includes equipment maintenance, inventory management, and adherence to California phlebotomy standards. A valid CA phlebotomy certification and BLS are required, with opportunities for growth within UHS.

Qualifications

• Basic phlebotomy skills with certificate.
• Ability to perform duties accurately and efficiently under pressure.
• Strong technical knowledge to support organizational needs.
• Verbal and written communication skills to transfer data/information.
• Demonstrated competency in serving acute and critical care patients.
• Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• High School Graduate/equivalent preferred.
• California Phlebotomy Certification required.
• Current BLS (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and STAT blood collection and specimen processing for laboratory testing.
• Maintain refrigerators, freezers, heat blocks and other equipment as assigned.
• Perform routine maintenance of centrifuges, hoods, and other laboratory equipment.
• Assist in maintaining phlebotomy supplies and inventory.
