Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform routine and STAT blood collections and specimen processing. The role includes preventive maintenance of lab equipment and maintaining phlebotomy supplies, ensuring accurate data transfer and compliance with safety standards.

The position requires California phlebotomy certification, current BLS, and strong communication skills. This on-site role supports acute care operations and patient-centered care within the hospital.

Qualifications

• Basic phlebotomy skills with certificate.

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedures to perform routine and STAT blood collection and specimen processing for all laboratory testing.
• Performs preventive maintenance and checks of refrigerators, freezers, and other equipment.
• Maintains phlebotomy and blood collection supplies and other inventory.
• Supports laboratory services population specific learning modules.
