Atrium Health Floyd is seeking a Phlebotomist for its Rome, GA primary care setting. The role involves collecting blood samples from patients of all ages, processing paperwork, and ensuring quality control in a busy lab environment.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, formal phlebotomy training, licensure/certification (PBT/ASCP or equivalent), and at least one year of lab or physician’s office experience. Position is full-time, on site, with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a formal Phlebotomy training program is required.
• Completion of departmental clinical evaluation checklist is required.
• Licensure or Certification is required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent national certification is required.
• At least one year experience in a lab or physician's office is required.

Responsibilities

• The Phlebotomist receives orders for laboratory testing, collects blood from patients of any age or status and issues appropriate paperwork to the Advocate laboratory or outside for processing.
• Maintains the laboratory in an efficient working state and performs lab procedures while ensuring quality control.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of a formal training program in Phlebotomy

Completion of departmental clinical evaluation checklist

Licensure or Certification

PBT (ASCP) or equivalent national certification
