Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center – Lab is seeking a Phlebotomist for full-time day shifts (5:00 AM–1:30 PM, Monday–Friday). The role collects blood from patients of all ages, processes paperwork, and ensures quality control in the Floyd lab.

Salary ranges from $20.80 to $31.20 hourly, with comprehensive benefits. Qualifications include a PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification, a high school diploma, and completion of a formal phlebotomy training program, plus at least three years of hospital

Qualifications

• Three years of hospital experience required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of a formal Phlebotomy training program.

Responsibilities

• Obtain high-quality specimens by venipuncture.
• Collect blood cultures with low contamination rate.
• Collect timed and routine specimens promptly.
• Label specimens accurately and maintain chain of custody.
• Maintain a clean, stocked phlebotomy area and follow safety regulations.
