Colusa Medical Center in California is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform specimen collection for inpatients, outpatients and external sites, and to support the laboratory's workflow and billing processes.

The ideal candidate holds a California CPT license, a current BLS card, and shows strong organization, communication and teamwork skills while maintaining patient confidentiality and accuracy in test orders and results.

Qualifications

• Must hold California CPT license.
• Must have a current BLS card.
• Ability to organize workload and communicate with others; basic computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Specimen collection: venipuncture and finger stick; label, process and distribute specimens; interpret orders.
• Results reporting: distribute results to nursing/physician teams; call or fax results as needed.
• Clerical duties: enter orders, maintain accession log, manage supplies, keep the lab clean and organized.
• Contribute to Laboratory and Hospital function: maintain confidentiality, train new staff, communicate with supervisor.
