Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.

• Phlebotomist license: CA.

• Associates degree in science preferred.
• Graduate from Medical Assistant school is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture on patients of all ages with proper order of draw.
• Execute ECG tracings, TB skin inoculations, and point-of-care testing per policy.
• Follow patient identification, consent, privacy, and rights during collection.
• Process, label, and transport specimens; maintain nursing activity logs and data accuracy.
• Maintain phlebotomy equipment and keep work area clean and stocked.
• Communicate test orders with providers and resolve order/specimen issues.
