Job Description Summary:

Interprets, obtains, prepares/compounds, labels, and distributes pharmacy products for patient use while considering patient age and relevant information. May prepare IV medications using specialized equipment and techniques, process refill requests for non-monitored medications, and document medication distribution for proper use and reimbursement. Involved in production, packaging, record keeping, and stocking tasks.

Responsibilities And Duties:

Under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, responsible for tasks as per policy, preparing/compounding therapies, documenting activities, labeling pharmacy products, participating in medication distribution, process improvement, training, and fulfilling department/patient needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School or GED; Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with Ohio Board of Pharmacy; PTCB certification.

Additional Job Description:

***This is a part-time casual (as needed) position working in retail pharmacy at Riverside Methodist Hospital, with potential to float to other locations. Mileage reimbursement included for longer commutes.***
