Job summary

Atrium Health's Pharmacy department at Carolinas Medical Center – Myers Park in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Pharmacy Technician (Full-time). The role supports licensed pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, handling sterile and non-sterile compounding where applicable, and ensuring accurate labeling and inventory control.

You will participate in immunization if certified, assist in third-party billing, and interact with multiple departments to ensure efficient medication delivery.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of revenue cycle quality metrics.

Responsibilities

• Assists licensed pharmacist in technical duties related to preparation and distribution of medications.
• Selects, prepares, and labels medications for patients, including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assists with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Screens phone calls and routes using proper etiquette.
• Performs nonsterile and sterile compounding per USP standards where applicable.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and training of technicians as needed.
