Job summary

Mercy Health’s Fairfield Outpatient Pharmacy is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to join our pharmacy team PRN.

You will assist the Pharmacist with processing prescriptions, inventory control, compliance audits and customer service while following infection-control procedures.

Qualified candidates hold ExCPT or PTCB certification with state registration; a High School Diploma or GED is required; retail, ambulatory or hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid ExCPT or PTCB certification and state registration.
• Experience in Retail/Outpatient or hospital settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and verifying prescriptions and patient information.
• Educating patients on medication usage and safety.
• Supporting Pharmacist in daily operations and recordkeeping.
• Adhering to infection-control policies and procedures.
