Job summary

Mercy Health in Fairfield is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to join the outpatient pharmacy team on a PRN basis. The role involves preparing pharmaceuticals, inventory control, compliance audits, and customer service under the supervision of the Pharmacist.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, handle prescriptions securely, and help maintain accurate records while adhering to infection-control policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid ExCPT certification and state board registration required.
• Experience in Retail/Outpatient/Acute Care Pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify prescriptions.
• Record patient information per guidelines.
• Educate patients on medication usage.
• Support Pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations.
• Follow infection-control policies to protect staff and patients.
