Mercy Health - The Jewish Hospital seeks a PRN Certified Pharmacy Technician to join its pharmacy team. The role involves preparing pharmaceuticals, inventory control, audits, and customer service under the direction of the Pharmacist.

Requires ExCPT or PTCB certification with state registration and a High School Diploma or GED. Prior pharmacy experience in hospital or outpatient settings is preferred; hospital environment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Valid ExCPT Certification provided by the National Health Career Association or PTCB certification and registration with State Board of Pharmacy (required).
• Previous experience in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion Pharmacy (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions.
• Reviewing and recording patient information with their prescription in compliance with the guidelines of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Providing instructions to educate people on the correct way to take their medicine.
• Supporting the Pharmacist in the daily operation of the pharmacy.
• Protecting employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
