Job Summary

In accordance with state and federal regulations, assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assists the pharmacist in other Pharmacy Department duties per Company policies. Responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. If PTCB or ExCPT certified, assists with and coaches pharmacy technicians and cashiers. Models and delivers a delightful customer experience. Opens/closes store in the absence of management, including system start-ups, cash handling, and store readiness. Handles deliveries, product returns, refunds, cash drops, and change.

Job Responsibilities

1. Customer Experience
   • Engages customers, resolves issues, and offers assistance to ensure a positive experience.
   • Shares customer service best practices to deliver a distinctive experience.
   • Builds relationships with valuable customers.
2. Operations
   • Assists in pharmacy practice under supervision, following policies.
   • Maintains store keys for opening/closing.
   • Maintains inventory accuracy, handles pricing, signage, and book-keeping activities.
   • Supports Pickup program and store maintenance.
   • Reports issues to management.
   • Supports pharmacy activities like entering patient info, filling prescriptions, verifying medicines, and managing workflow.
   • Handles prescription errors and adheres to dispensing policies.
   • Manages sales, cash handling, and assists customers in OTC products.
   • Processes third-party claims and supports inventory management.
   • May assist with clinical services and outreach to healthcare providers.
   • Ensures store cleanliness, supplies, and policy compliance.
   • Completes special tasks and training as assigned.
3. Training & Personal Development
   • Earns and maintains PTCB or ExCPT certification, completes training, and keeps up with industry news.

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer 6 months retail experience, prior Walgreens experience, good math and computer skills, and knowledge of inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB or ExCPT certification.

Salary: $17.5 - $21/hour

Basic Qualifications

• Fluent in English (except Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours.
