Job description

Position Summary

Working under the day‑to‑day supervision of pharmacists and Pharmacy leadership, the Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for the proper handling of medications, including receiving, distributing, managing expiration dates, inventory in Pyxis, storage, repackaging, compounding, filling orders, delivering, and stocking. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs hazardous compounding
• Performs batch sterility tests
• Monitors at least one key performance indicator or produces a key process improvement
• Assists in revising training materials
• Demonstrates intermediate skill performance in areas such as purchasing, decentralized pharmacy services, medication histories, or ADC optimization
• Complies with HIPAA policies
• Maintains accurate record‑keeping and handoffs with controlled substances and reports concerns or discrepancies promptly

Job Requirements

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
• Valid Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license

Knowledge and Skills

Compensation

Base salary range: $19.66 – $29.22 per hour. Total compensation includes medical, dental, vision, pharmacy benefits, flexible spending account, 403(b) savings match, earned time cash out, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources supporting employee and family well‑being.
