SQRL in the Chicagoland/Northwest Indiana area is seeking a Data Entry Pharmacy Technician for a hybrid onsite/remote role in a closed-door long-term care pharmacy.

You will enter prescription orders quickly and accurately, adjudicate insurance claims, and support the Intake department while communicating with care communities by phone and email. Illinois license is required; benefits include medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) with 4% match, PTO and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Role

The Data Entry Pharmacy Technician will support the pharmacy’s Intake Department by entering and processing prescription orders with a strong focus on speed and accuracy.

This position is ideal for a licensed Illinois Pharmacy Technician with experience in healthcare data entry, medical records, long-term care, or a similar pharmacy environment. The role also involves regular communication with care communities and residents by phone and email, as well as insurance claim adjudication and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and accurately enter prescription orders into pharmacy systems
• Complete profile-only data entry and maintain accurate patient information
• Answer incoming calls and provide responsive, professional customer service
• Monitor pharmacy emails and messages and respond promptly
• Investigate and resolve community and resident-related questions or issues
• Adjudicate prescription insurance claims
• Maintain a high level of accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with pharmacy team members to support efficient workflow
• Complete required training and compliance courses
• Maintain reliable and predictable attendance
• Follow all safety, security, privacy, and pharmacy procedures
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician certification and license required
• At least 1 year of healthcare data entry or medical records management experience
• Long-term care, managed care, or pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• FrameworkLTC and/or FrameworkECM experience is a plus
• Strong and accurate data entry skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team
