MedWiz Mgmt LLC in Bardonia, NY seeks a Data Entry Pharmacy Technician skilled in data entry and claims adjudication to support pharmacy operations. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License in good standing with Board of Pharmacy.
• PTCB or ExCPT Pharmacy Technician certification.
• 2+ years’ experience as a pharmacy technician (retail/LTC/hospital).
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Order entry of electronic and faxed prescriptions via Pharmacy software.
• Answering phone calls and troubleshooting with nursing staff with exceptional customer service.
• Adjudicating and troubleshooting rejected insurance claims.
• Communicate with fill floor to process orders in a timely manner.
• Accurately processing prescriptions and calculating day supplies and quantities.
• Problem solve and provide accurate information and efficient solutions.

Open Position: Data Entry Pharmacy Technician

Pay Range: $19-$23 per hour (based on experience)

Medwiz is looking for a hardworking, dedicated, and reliable pharmacy technician who is fluent in data entry and claims adjudication. The appropriate candidate should possess outstanding customer service skills, be able to multi-task, and have great attention to detail. This position requires basic math skills, problem solving skills, moderate to advanced computer skills, and good communication skills.

Essential Duties

• Order entry of electronic and faxed in prescriptions via Pharmacy software
• Answering phone calls and troubleshooting with nursing staff in a professional manner with exceptional customer service
• Adjudicating and troubleshooting rejected insurance claims
• Communicate with fill floor to process orders in a timely manner
• Accurately processing prescriptions and calculating proper day supplies and quantities
• Ability to problem solve and provide accurate information and efficient solutions

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician License and in good standing with Board of Pharmacy
• PTCB or ExCPT Pharmacy Technician certified
• 2 + years’ experience as a pharmacy technician (in any capacity i.e. retail, LTC, hospital)
• Candidate must possess basic math skills
• Open availability (able to work holidays and rotating weekends)
• Must follow required HIPAA laws
• Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Long Term Care experience
• Framework LTC experience
• Long Term Care billing/ adjudication experience
• Familiar with Medical Terminology
• Have a basic understanding of Pharmacy Law
