Responsibilities

1. Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state and federal regulations. Support other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
2. Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and, if PTCB certified, coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers.
3. Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by greeting customers, resolving issues, and answering questions.
4. Assist in pharmacy operations, including data entry, prescription filling, verifying medications, and maintaining workflow.
5. Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to policies regarding dispensing and quality improvement.
6. Handle sales, cash registers, and customer assistance in OTC aisles.
7. Support inventory management, clinical services, and maintain good relationships with healthcare providers.
8. Comply with all policies, maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, and complete assigned tasks.
9. Maintain PTCB certification and participate in ongoing training and education.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer at least six months of retail experience, prior Walgreens experience, good math and computer skills, and PTCB certification.
