Job summary

Mount Carmel St. Ann's is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician (Full-Time / Rotating) in Westerville, Ohio.

You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist, assist with sterile and non-sterile compounding, packaging, inventory control, and billing using automated systems. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, Ohio certification, active registration, and strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification. Active registration with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Aptitude in mathematical manipulations (ratios, proportions, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions).
• Desire to advance knowledge and career through certification.

Responsibilities

• Establish a working identity with our Pharmacy Team and contribute to a positive culture.
• Undergo role-specific training and support, including sterile and non-sterile compounding.
• Assist in preparation of sterile products (including chemotherapy) using aseptic technique.
• Assist in preparation of non-sterile products (including hazardous medications).
• Repackage bulk oral medications using automated systems and robots.
• Support dispensing via Automated Dispensing Cabinets and assist in pharmacy inventory and billing.
