Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in delivering accurate medications on the night shift in Ohio. Responsibilities include sterile and non-sterile compounding, repackaging with robotic systems, and facilitating dispensing on patient care units.

Ideal candidates will hold an active Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification and Ohio registration, with prior technician experience and strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Approved Pharmacy Technician Certification with active Ohio registration.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile products (including chemotherapy) using aseptic technique.
• Prepare non-sterile products (including hazardous medications) per standards.
• Repackage bulk oral medications using Parata Systems and robotics.
• Facilitate dispensing via Automated Dispensing Cabinets on patient care units.
• Assist dispensing orders through the pharmacy inventory system.
• Support inventory control with daily orders and proper stock rotation/expiry dating.
• Escalate medication and non-medication orders to Purchasing.
• Assist with billing for patients and units.
