Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Grove City, OH is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Tech for an evening, full-time role. You will work under a pharmacist to dispense medications, prepare sterile and non-sterile products, and manage inventory and billing processes across patient care units.

Qualified candidates hold Ohio certification, have high school diploma, and prefer prior pharmacy tech experience. Competitive benefits and relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduation or equivalent.
• Licensure / Certification: Approved Pharmacy Technician Certification and Ohio registration.
• Experience: Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Aptitude in pharmaceutical mathematics.
• Ambition to advance to Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Establish a working identity with our Pharmacy Team and continue to build the culture.
• Prepare sterile products (including chemotherapy) using aseptic technique per standards.
• Prepare non-sterile products (including hazardous medication) per standards.
• Facilitate medication dispensing via Automated Dispensing Cabinets on patient care units.
• Assist in dispensing orders/prescriptions through our pharmacy inventory system.
• Assist in inventory control by processing daily orders, proper stock rotation, storage and expiration dating; escalate as needed.
• Assist with proper billing of patients and other units.
