Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Grove City, Ohio is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in timely medication provision. This full-time position runs from 2:30pm to 11:00pm and involves sterile and non-sterile compounding, packaging, inventory control, and use of automated technology.

Under Ohio Board of Pharmacy supervision, you will prepare sterile products, assist with dispensing, maintain records, and support billing.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Active Ohio Certified Pharmacy Technician registration.
• Preferred prior pharmacy technician experience.
• Effective communication skills.
• Aptitude in pharmaceutical mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in timely and accurate provision of medications.
• Prepare sterile products (including chemotherapy) using aseptic technique.
• Prepare non-sterile products (including hazardous medications) per regulatory standards.
• Facilitate dispensing via Automated Dispensing Cabinets on patient care units.
• Assist in dispensing orders through the pharmacy inventory system.
• Support inventory control and proper billing for patients.
