Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician certification; active Ohio registration.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Strong communication and mathematical skills.
• A desire to advance knowledge to the Certified Pharmacy Technician level.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile products (including chemotherapy) using aseptic technique and follow regulatory standards.
• Prepare non-sterile products (including hazardous meds) per regulatory standards.
• Repackage bulk oral meds using Parata Systems and robotic equipment.
• Enable dispensing via Automated Dispensing Cabinets on patient care units.
• Assist dispensing of orders through the pharmacy inventory system.
• Assist in inventory control, stock rotation, storage and dating.
• Escalate medication and non-medication orders to Purchasing; assist with billing.
