Job summary

Vanderbilt Health’s Pharmacy VUH Interns program seeks a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in medication preparation, dispensing, and distribution. The role includes inventory control and customer service in a hospital setting.

Hours are 5:00am–1:30pm or 6:00am–2:30pm, 20 hours weekly with every third weekend rotation and four holidays per year. Certification through PTCB or NHA is required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician – required (PTCB or NHA).
• State licensure: Tennessee license preferred (LIC-Pharmacy Technician).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications.
• Apply department inventory control processes.
• Follow hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
• Operate computer systems and utilize pharmacy technology.
