Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Outpatient Pharmacy Technician to prepare and distribute medications, operate automated systems, maintain inventory, and support pharmacists.

You will train staff, ensure accuracy at the point of sale, and participate in quality audits; must have MA registration and national certification (PTCB or exCPT) by start date or within 6 months, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires MA Board of Pharmacy registration by hire date.
• National certification from PTCB or exCPT (or within 6 months).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy internship eligibility for students with 2 years of education.

Responsibilities

• Data entry and prescription transcription with confidentiality.
• Prepare prescription orders and medications as directed.
• Ensure all work is checked by a pharmacist.
• Support pharmacist in patient care and service needs.
• Report malfunctioning equipment and unsafe conditions; participate in training.
