Avera McKennan Hospital seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist in drug preparation, storage, distribution and inventory management under pharmacist supervision. You will input and prepare labels, support medication delivery, and maintain patient safety within compliance guidelines.

The role requires current Pharmacy Technician registration, CPhT credentials, and the ability to work with nursing staff and physicians. PTO from day one and retirement matching are among the benefits offered.

Qualificações

• Active pharmacy technician registration and ability to perform duties under supervision.
• Knowledge of medications, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and teamwork with clinical staff.

Responsabilidades

• Under pharmacist supervision, input and/or prepare labels and packages for inpatient or outpatient orders.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, customers, and management to promote patient safety.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medications, calculations, regulations, PPE, and safety.
• Perform clerical tasks such as billing, patient demographics, and inventory.
• Assist with record-keeping for accreditation requirements and audits.
• Assist customers in person or by phone as needed.
• Run reports and use the dispensing system; conduct monthly stock inspections and inventory.
• Proficiency in compounding practices as needed.
