Responsibilities

1. The Certified Pharmacy Technician, under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, assists with the filling of medication orders/prescriptions, unit doses, checks outdates, fills stock, prepares IV medications, compounds, and delivers medications throughout the facility. Assists with collection of accurate and complete patient home medication lists.

Qualifications

Professional/Educational

• Current pharmacy technician licensure issued by the State of Illinois (20 for Certified Tech hour CEU's included) with biennial renewal.
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Health Career Association (EXCPT).
• DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
