Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of fitness, cardiovascular training, nutrition and program design.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to demonstrate exercises and monitor proper form.
• Willingness to stay current on credentials and industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional client programs to drive goal achievement and retention.
• Instructs clients on safe use of equipment during sessions.
• Conducts fitness consultations including pre-participation screening and goal setting.
• Provides fitness floor assistance, education, and motivation to members.
• Promotes and sells personal training programs and services.
• Documents all aspects of client programming and progress.
• Keeps credentials current and pursues continuing education.

Education
