Job summary

Adventist Health Lodi Memorial is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to organize and coordinate perioperative patient care. The role includes assisting surgeons, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting the anesthesia team throughout procedures in the OR.

Requires BSN, active RN license, CNOR/RNFA certifications, and BLS/CPR; perioperative experience preferred. This position is represented by CNA and is based in Lodi, CA.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of practice required.
• RNFA and CNOR certifications required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Perioperative nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs circulating and scrubbing duties.
• Verbal confirm of surgical site/side before anesthesia.
• Accurately performs counts of sponges, needles and instruments.
• Assists with handling tissues and vessel control in collaboration with the surgeon.
• Assists with cannulation, positioning, prepping and draping.
• Maintains sterile field and aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Documents nursing diagnoses, plan of care, interventions and responses.
• Mentors and leads staff in patient care setting.
