Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York, seeks an experienced perfusionist to assess, plan and implement cardiopulmonary bypass care before, during and after surgery. You will set up and operate the heart-lung machine and consult with physicians to select the proper equipment.

Requires graduation from an NYS perfusion program with an Associate or Bachelor’s degree, NYS licensure, ABCP certification, and BLS. Work hours are 6:30 AM–3 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Requires NYS perfusion degree or certificate with ABCP certification.
• Certification by American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion required once eligible.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement CPB-related patient care before, during and after surgery.
• Set up and operate the heart/lung machine and related equipment.
• Consult with physicians and select appropriate perfusion equipment.
