Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY seeks a perfusionist to assess, plan and implement patient care for cardiopulmonary bypass before, during, and after surgery. You will set up and operate the heart-lung machine and consult with physicians to select suitable equipment.

Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and BLS are required. This is a temporary/full-time role with day shift and a starting hourly rate of $80.02.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in perfusion technology or NYS certificate program in perfusion technology.
• American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under general supervision, assess, plan and implement the patient care requirements and treatment necessary for cardiopulmonary bypass/assistance before, during and after surgery. Sets up and operates the heart/lung machine. Consults with Physicians and selects appropriate equipment. Performs related duties as required.

SCHEDULE:

6:30 AM-3 PM. This is a Temporary / Full Time role.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

• Graduation from an accredited NYS college with an Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree with a major in perfusion technology or graduation from a NYS accredited certificate program in perfusion technology required.
• Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion is required.
• BLS is required.
